Our goal is to be as comprehensive as possible in listing institutions involved in physical oceanography. However, given the vast number of organizations working in this field, it is likely that some may not be included.

In cases where a main institution has multiple distributed locations, we may choose to place a single marker instead of mapping each one individually, as displaying them all could become overwhelming.
