Sea Surface Salinity with the Spilhaus projection

This figure presents a global Sea Surface Salinity (SSS) dataset visualized using the Spilhaus projection, a conformal map that places the world's oceans at the center, emphasizing oceanic processes and large-scale circulation patterns.

The SSS data is sourced from the Copernicus Marine Service, specifically from the following product:

  •    Product ID: MULTIOBS_GLO_PHY_S_SURFACE_MYNRT_015_013
  •    Dataset ID: cmems_obs-mob_glo_phy-sss_nrt_multi_P1D

This dataset provides near-real-time, high-resolution Level 4 SSS observations, blending multiple satellite sources to achieve optimal accuracy.
